15th Food Allergy Study Day - Allergy Academy & Royal Society of Medicine Joint Event (2022)
The Allergy Academy is proud to Partner with the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) to put together a joint event focussing on new developments in allergy medicine. We have gathered experts on the 21st century pragmatic implementation of clinical care for common conditions such as food allergy as well as unusual conditions such as FPIES and LTP allergy.
Focusing on patient needs and values-based care allows us to plan management appropriately with reduced resources and less clinical space; especially important in the COVID-era. Our aims ensure we are putting patients in the driving seat and are enabling best care whilst adapting to the needs of the patient. We aim to emphasise specific priorities of adolescents, those living with anxieties and patients wanting treatments that are arriving in clinical practice.
The meeting will develop the clinicians’ ability to tailor management according to:
- Thresholds of allergen reaction
- Anxiety
- Prospect of immunotherapy
- Adolescence
- Assessing the most valuable aspects of care for the patient
- Inclusion and equity of care
Specific guidance around new syndromes:
- FPIES management
- LTP allergy
